According to a recent poll, only 6% of adults surveyed are most interested in hearing Vice President Kamala Harris or former President Donald Trump discuss cryptocurrency at the upcoming 2024 US presidential debate.

The first and possibly only 2024 US presidential debate is scheduled for September 10 and will be the first in-person meeting between the two candidates.

The poll found that 45% of respondents preferred the candidates to discuss the economy and jobs, while 24% suggested immigration as a more desirable topic.

Trump has positioned himself as a Bitcoin and crypto advocate as part of his 2024 campaign, while Harris has been largely silent on her digital asset policy positions.

It remains unclear if the debate moderators will ask the candidates about cryptocurrency or blockchain, or if either Harris or Trump will bring up the issue themselves.

An advocacy group has called on the moderators to give voters an opportunity to understand the nominees' stances on crypto before the election.

The debate will take place 56 days before Election Day and six days before early voting begins in Pennsylvania.
