Commerzbank to Offer Bitcoin, Ether Trading

Commerzbank, the second-largest bank in Germany, has signed a deal with Crypto Finance, a subsidiary of the Deutsche Boerse, to offer cryptocurrency trading services to its corporate clients. The initial focus will be on the two largest cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin and Ether.

Crypto Finance Expands Partnerships

Crypto Finance, a crypto-focused subsidiary of the Deutsche Boerse, has been expanding its partnerships in the financial sector. Just two weeks ago, it signed a similar agreement with Zürcher Kantonalbank (ZKB) in Switzerland to provide crypto trading and custody services.

Commerzbank Obtains Crypto Custody License

Commerzbank obtained a crypto custody license in Germany in November 2023, which allows the bank to offer a wide range of services related to digital assets. The partnership with Crypto Finance will enable Commerzbank's corporate clients to access Bitcoin and Ether trading for the first time.
